Jeffrey F. Kuchta, CFA is a founder and managing member of Hedge Fund Launch LLC. He is also a founder and managing member of Second City Alternatives LLC, an investment advisor specializing in hedge funds and other alternative investments. Mr. Kuchta was previously the Senior Portfolio Manager for Mansur Capital Corporation’s fund of hedge funds products.

For a number of years, Mr. Kuchta was a consultant and founder of Hedge Advisors, Inc. (HAI), a boutique hedge fund advisory. Prior to that, Mr. Kuchta was a member of the fund of hedge funds research team at Grosvenor Capital Management, L.P. and before joining Grosvenor, he was an investment consulting manager with Ennis, Knupp & Associates (EK&A).

Mr. Kuchta received a BS in Finance from Northern Illinois University. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Chicago.

W. Thomas Augenthaler is a founder and managing member of Hedge Fund Launch, LLC. Mr. Augenthaler is also a founder and principal of Hedge Fund Center, an online platform dedicated to increasing transparency in the hedge fund industry by providing educational information to investors and hedge fund managers alike.

Mr. Augenthaler brings to Hedge Fund Launch, LLC an eclectic background that blends retail and institutional sales/marketing experience on Wall Street with deep expertise in public relations. While with Oppenheimer & Co. and Smith Barney, Mr. Augenthaler marketed alternative investment strategies to Fortune 1000 companies and pension managers. These investment strategies included equity long/short, market neutral, dividend capture, global/macro, and tactical asset allocation.

In the public relations realm, Mr. Augenthaler a number of major public relations firms. During his affiliation with these firms he provided counsel to clients on the issues of branding, reputation management, media strategy and business-to-business communications. He possesses a broad background in disciplines that include finance, high technology, e-commerce, as well as consumer.

His interests include Renaissance martial arts and he is a member of ARMA, the Association of Renaissance Martial Arts.

Mr. Augenthaler received a B.A. in History from Gettysburg College in 1986 and earned a Masters in Liberal Arts from Harvard University in 1996.
